We have extended our deadline and are still accepting nominations for our Documentary Creative Producing Lab! The new deadline is Monday, March 21. If you know a talented producer not yet supported by Sundance Institute, we want to hear from you.
ABOUT THE LAB AND FELLOWSHIP
We will select five fellows to join us for a five-day intensive at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Over the five days, fellows will participate in themed, intimate work sessions developing story and communication skills as well as participating in practical sessions focused on financing, distribution, and audience engagement. Fellows will also meet one-on-one with Creative Advisors for in-depth discussions and feedback.
The transformation that takes place in the mountains of Utah is incredible, and continues afterward with year-long support from the Documentary Film Program (DFP), led by Tabitha Jackson. The year-long fellowship supports the producer’s project through mentorship by staff and our generous Creative Advisors, and through project development in key programs including the Creative Producing Summit and the DFP Fellows Program at the Sundance Film Festival.
Through the lab and fellowship we hope to hone emerging producers’ creative instincts and to evolve their communication and problem-solving skills at all stages of their next documentary feature film.
