Film Festival Watch: 14 Sundance Institute–Supported Films to Catch at the 2025 True/False Film Fest

Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s that time of year for the annual True/False Fest to take over Columbia, Missouri. Dedicated to only premiering and screening non-fiction films, the festival (a nonprofit Ragtag Film Society project) is a unique four-day event rooted in four key values: integrity, inclusivity, playfulness, and sustainability.

We’re so excited that the 21-year-old celebration, which kicks off this week and runs through March 2, will show 14 films supported by Sundance Institute Labs and our 2025 Festival. Within the slate are several Festival award-winners, including features Seeds, SALLY, Zodiac Killer Project, and the short film The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing

Check out the titles that premiered at our 2025 Fest and were supported by our artist programs, including the Documentary Film Program, that will screen at True/False.

Be sure to add them to your schedule if you’re attending. And for more about the programs mentioned in this list, click here.
