“A Different Man,” “Hit Man,” and “A Real Pain” Gain Golden Globe Nominations

At the top of each year, we introduce the film and TV landscape to groundbreaking projects when they premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Many earn recognition during awards season, often capturing multiple nominations across awards shows, from the Film Independent Spirit Awards to the Oscars

Today, the nominations for the 82nd Golden Globes were announced by Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut, and we’re elated to see three Sundance-supported films have gained six nominations. From Jesse Eisenberg’s offbeat and emotional A Real Pain to Richard Linklater’s sharp and sexy Hit Man and Aaron Schimberg’s wry and powerful A Different Man, these evocative films have landed noms across the Best Motion Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy, and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture categories.

Check out the slate of all the Sundance-supported projects nominated for Golden Globes below. Congratulations to the filmmakers and artists who created these films — and to all of our alums! Watch the Globes on CBS or stream the show on Paramount+ on January 5, 2025.
