WATCH: 12 Hilarious Meet the Artist Videos From Fest Alums

By Jessica Herndon

Ahead of each Sundance Film Festival, we ask the directors whose projects are premiering and screening to submit videos about the inspiration behind their projects for our long-running Meet the Artist series on YouTube. These brief videos take you into the minds of the filmmakers as they share stories about what motivated them to develop their enthralling works before wider audiences get to know them.

Some of our favorite moments are when artists show off their lighter and more creative sides in these clips. As we eagerly await the 2025 Fest lineup, we’re looking back at some of the funniest Meet the Artist videos from the series.
