The 39th IDA Documentary Awards Nominations Are Full of Sundance-Supported Projects

Awards season is in full swing and this morning the International Documentary Association unveiled their full nominee list for their 2023 honors. We were thrilled to see a lot of familiar faces and films in the mix including 2023 Festival favorites (and award winners!) as well as Documentary Film Program projects.

Half of the nominees for Best Feature Documentary came through the Sundance Institute whether through our Documentary Film Program or our 2023 Festival. Some of them, including Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project, won awards at our own Festival this January!

Check out the entire list of Sundance Institute–supported IDA nominees below and make sure to root for them on December 12.
