Cameron Asharian is a Programmer for the Sundance Film Festival, with a focus on fiction, international, and animated feature films as well as Family Matinee and Midnight programming. They are also a member of the New Frontier curatorial team. Asharian has worked in various programming and screening capacities for organizations such as the Overlook Film Festival, Utah Queer Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, and NewFest. They are drawn to formal innovation in cinema, multimedia storytelling, immersive media, performance, and gaming, and are passionate about creating opportunities for new voices and artists from underrepresented backgrounds across global creative paradigms. Asharian holds a BA in Film & Political Science from Vassar College, and joined the Programming team in 2022.
