Like us, we expect you’re excited to see the incredible new work that will premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Even a quick glance at our program reveals many standout, can’t-miss experiences. Whiplash, Reservoir Dogs, and Cartel Land are just a few of the gems launched at the Festival over the years, and as the days count down we’re buzzing with excitement for the discoveries yet to be made.
While you’re in Park City, we hope you’ll get the chance to walk around Main Street and visit official Festival venues like Festival Base Camp presented by Canada Goose, Festival Co-op, Filmmaker Lodge, and other destinations to experience programming, giveaways, and other cool stuff from our sponsors — including panel discussions at SundanceTV HQ, celebrity chef demos at Chase Sapphire on Main, hot beverages and Canadian-inspired snacks at Canada Goose, and live music at Festival Village presented by Acura. These are just a few examples, as venues from YouTube, Stella Artois, Oculus, Creators League Studio, The Hollywood Reporter, and others provide valuable experiences for everyone.
You may already know that the Festival is just one of the many public and private programs Sundance Institute operates 365 days a year. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of corporations, foundations and individuals to sustain all of these programs. The Festival, as well as our many Labs and grants for independent artists, would not be possible without this support.
Our corporate partners play an especially important role in the Festival, as they not only make the Festival possible, but also deliver unique experiences and a welcome chance to step out of the cold with warm venues and exciting events.
This year, we’ve created an “Official Partner” seal to help highlight the companies who support our mission, donate generously to be a part of our community, and are eager to celebrate the filmmakers, their work, and you. It’s an easy way for you to have fun and thank our sponsors for supporting our artists.
The energy of the Festival also attracts unofficial brands who promote themselves, but don’t support our filmmakers or mission. This is a real challenge for us as it jeopardizes our partnerships and year-round programs for independent artists. They also generally make it harder for us to bring you cool new independent films.
We are grateful to those who help us support our supporters, for being a part of our community and an important part of our mission. For a full list of sponsors and their venues, check out the Festival map. Before you step into a venue, look for our Official Partner seal so you know the place is legit.
Thank you for supporting those who support us. We wish everyone a wonderful time at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.
