Sundance Film Festival Industry Office
Since its debut in 2005, the Sundance Film Festival Industry Office (SIO) has provided accredited members with the necessary tools and resources to navigate one of the world’s most dynamic festival markets and further a range of creative goals. Each year, more than 1800 members of the independent film industry attend the Sundance Film Festival from all over the world.
Prior to the Festival, SIO members have the opportunity to register to purchase SIO Festival passes and ticket bundles. These are the only products available for sale that include access to Press & Industry screenings. During the Festival, members continue to enjoy exclusive services through the SIO office in Boulder and online.
Industry Registration Status
Registration for the 2027 Sundance Film Festival:
Opens October 6, 12pm MT
Industry Registration for the 2026 Sundance Film Festival (January 22 – February 1, 2026) is expected to open in the autumn of 2025.
Registration options are offered to returning SIO members who attended the 2025 Sundance Film Festival with SIO accreditation.
Festival Format for SIO Attendees
The 2027 Sundance Film Festival will take place January 21–31 in Boulder, Colorado, and January 27–31 online for accredited Press & Industry professionals.
- In-person film premieres take place Thursday, January 21 through Tuesday, January 26.
- Press & Industry (P&I) screenings run Thursday, January 21, through Wednesday, January 27, with repeat P&Is extending through Friday, January 29.
- Repeat screenings will be presented through the end of the Festival.
- Competition feature films screen online for SIO pass holders from Wednesday, January 27 through Sunday, January 31 (online screenings begin for general audiences Thursday, January 28).
- Festival awards will be announced on Friday, January 29.
In-Person Press & Industry Screenings (January 21–29)
- Feature films in competition sections (US Dramatic, US Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, World Cinema Documentary, NEXT) will have at least one P&I screening.
- Films in out-of-competition sections will be included in the P&I screening schedule when possible.
- Most P&I screenings will not precede the film’s public premiere.
- Most P&I screenings will follow within 24 hours of the film’s premiere.
- P&I screenings do not include introductions or post-screening Q&As.
- Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
Online Press & Industry Screenings (January 27–31)
- Online screenings include feature films in competition sections (US Dramatic, US Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, World Cinema Documentary, NEXT).
- Short films, Episodic selections, and additional features may opt in for online screenings.
- Online viewing is available to SIO pass holders on-demand during the five days of the online program (one view per title per pass).
- Online viewing is available worldwide for SIO pass holders.
Industry Registration for the 2027 Sundance Film Festival
Registration options are offered to returning SIO members who attended the Festival in 2026 with SIO accreditation, and those who have been approved for new membership since the most recent festival.
All current members will receive a link to SIO’s private sale via email when registration opens. SIO products are not listed with general sale items on the festival site.

SIO Registration is now closed. Registration requests that were received before closing have been approved. If you have not received approval notification please check your spam folder for an email from sundancesupport@sundance.org. Purchases must be completed by January 11; your selection is not guaranteed after that point.
SIO Pass and Bundle Information
SIO passes are designed for attendees to enjoy the energy and community of in-person screenings, with an online “catch up” window in the second half of the Festival. Details about each pass and bundle are provided below.

- On-demand viewing of films in competition sections (U.S. Dramatic, U.S. Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, World Cinema Documentary, NEXT) as well as films and Episodic works from other sections that opt into online screenings.
SIO passholders do not need to make online ticket selections and are not subject to online screening capacity limits or geoblocking. One online view per film per pass.

The SIO Industry Bundle is ideal for professionals who wish to attend a mix of public and P&I screenings. The bundle’s 10 tickets can be applied to any in-person public screening (including premieres), and bundle holders have the added perk of making ticket selections before sales open to the general public. The included SIO Industry Pass provides first-come, first-seated access to Press & Industry screenings at the Cinemark Century, and on-demand online viewing in the second half of the Festival.

Bundle holders have the option to select their 10 tickets before single tickets go on sale to the general public, giving Bundle holders the best chance at securing tickets to the most popular premieres. The majority of Festival feature films will have an in-person P&I screening January 21–27, with additional repeat P&Is January 28–29. Credential Pick Up: Festival Headquarters, Sheraton Park City
Credential pick up happens at Festival Headquarters, the Sheraton Park City, 1895 Sidewinder Dr., Park City, UT 84060. Please note this location has changed since the 2025 Festival. SIO is located upstairs in Prospector Ballroom 4, past the Press and Artist Relations offices.

How-to-Festival for SIO Passes
SIO Member Resources
Member Resources include the festival film Rights List and Public Contact List, SIO Attendee List, and Screening Schedule for Press & Industry.
Member Resources become available in mid-December and are updated regularly.
Because SIO Member Resources are shared only with registered SIO members, you must sign into your Festival account on festival.sundance.org to access them. Once you’re signed in, look for the Industry option under the How-to-Fest menu, and Member Resources in the navigation sidebar.
SIO Refund Policy
Refunds and exchanges are not permitted except as set forth below and at Sundance Institute’s sole discretion.
- SIO passes and the SIO Industry Bundle are refundable through December 18, 2026. Refund requests should be sent to sio@sundance.org.
- SIO products that include online viewing are not refundable in whole or in part in the event that specific films are not available due to technical or other reasons.
- If the in-person portion of the Festival is canceled:
- Attendees who have purchased an SIO Pass at the Express level will receive a refund of the Pass price, or can elect to exchange the Express pass for an SIO Online Festival Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- Attendees who have purchased an SIO Industry Bundle will receive a refund of the Bundle price, or can elect to exchange the Bundle for an SIO Online Festival Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- Attendees who have purchased an SIO Industry Pass will receive a refund of the Pass price, or can elect to exchange that Pass for an SIO Online Festival Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- If the entire Festival is postponed or canceled, all package, pass, bundle, and ticket holders will receive a refund of the product price.
Refunds will be issued to the credit card account used to make the purchase (even if the ticketing product was subsequently transferred).
