This poetic, atmospheric game simulation of Henry David Thoreau’s experiment in living at Walden Pond invites players to walk in his virtual footsteps, attend to the tasks of living a self-reliant existence, and discover, in the tranquil beauty of a virtual landscape, the ideas and writings of this unique philosopher.

Artist Bios

Tracy Fullerton

Tracy Fullerton is an award-winning, experimental game designer and director of the Game Innovation Lab at the USC School of Cinematic Arts where she holds the Electronic Arts Endowed Chair in Interactive Entertainment. Her game credits include Cloud, flOw, Darfur is Dying, and The Night Journey (a collaboration with media artist Bill Viola). She has been honored with awards from IndieCade and Games for Change among many others.
