Voyager is a fully integrated, personalized VR theatre that incorporates gentle motorized rotation, pitch, and haptics. Its unique technology enables VR directors to encode a motion and haptic track to complement the existing visuals and audio, delivering an enhanced immersive experience. Voyager will feature selected works from the 2017 VR Lineup.

Artist Bio

Jeffrey Travis

Jeffrey is a filmmaker, engineer and VR pioneer. He is the founder and CEO of Positron, a virtual reality technology company, where he developed the idea for Voyager with a mission to elevate cinematic VR. Jeffrey is writer and director of the animated film Flatland (starring Martin Sheen, Kristen Bell and Tony Hale) as well as multiple short and feature films. He is the author of two engineering books on LabVIEW, a graphical programming language. He has created and built interactive and VR experiences for clients such as Tesla, John Deere, Chevron, and more. Jeffrey is passionate about bringing art and engineering together to inspire wonder and delight.
