AJ Schnack is a nonfiction filmmaker. He is one of the co-creators of Field of Vision, a visual journalism unit that produces short form and episodic documentaries on ongoing events. His nonfiction features includes Caucus (2013), We Always Lie to Strangers (2013), Kurt Cobain About a Son (2006) and Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns) (2002). He is also the founding director of the Cinema Eye Honors.
