A twisted queer romance set in picturesque 19th-century Bohemia tells the true story of the birth of one of the nation's most influential writers, with suspense, laughter, violence, hope, nudity, sex, and a happy ending—mostly a happy ending.
Ondřej Hudeček studied directing and cinematography at Trebas Institute in Montréal and at FAMU in Prague. His previous short films O-Ring (2011), Years, (2012) and Karaoke, (2012) among others, were screened and won awards at numerous festivals. His latest short, Peacock, (2015) had its world premiere at the 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and is now being developed into a feature film. He is also developing television series and video games.
