Artist Bio

Darius Clark Monroe

Darius Clark Monroe’s feature documentary Evolution of a Criminal world-premiered at SXSW in 2014. It has screened at over 100 international festivals and won numerous awards, including the International Documentary Association’s Emerging Filmmaker Award and grand jury prizes at Full Frame and Hot Springs. The film went on to be nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Cinema Eye Honor, and in 2015 it made its television broadcast debut on PBS's Independent Lens series.
