Crip Camp and Disability Representation in Film

Join The Atlantic, in collaboration with the Ruderman Family Foundation, for a discussion on efforts to increase inclusion for actors with disabilities and broaden awareness of authentic representation and disability issues in film. The event, led by senior editor Lauren Williams, will include a conversation with Nicole Newnham and James Lebrecht, the co-directors of Crip Camp, a documentary tracing the disability-rights movement back to a New York camp for teens with disabilities in the 1970s; director Rodrigo Garcia, whose film Four Good Days is premiering at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival; directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly; and actor and disability advocate Danny Woodburn.
