Our daily series of informal chats rounds up special guests for thought-provoking discussions. We are proud to present several Cinema Café discussions in collaboration with TimesTalks, streaming engaging discussions with Festival filmmakers and The New York Times journalists.

Sometimes the most fascinating are the ones you didn’t expect. Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler’s stand-up comedy, best-selling books, and nightly talk show have attracted millions of fans worldwide. As the host of E!’s top-rated Chelsea Lately, Handler became the first female to break into the otherwise male-dominated late-night arena. Handler’s upcoming projects include Chelsea Does, a Netflix documentary series available on January 23 following its world premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, and a Netflix talk show launching in 2016.


Morgan Spurlock

Writer, director, and producer Morgan Spurlock’s first film, Super Size Me, premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, where it won best directing honors, and received a Writers Guild of America Award and an Academy Award nomination. Since then Spurlock has directed, produced, and distributed many film, television, and digital projects. As president and founder of production studio Warrior Poets, he has worked on digital content creation with Hulu and Yahoo. Spurlock is also a co-founder of the short-film content marketing studio Cinelan.
