Elegance Bratton began making films as a U.S. Marine. He holds a BS from Columbia University and an MFA from NYU. His documentary Pier Kids (2019) follows queer and trans homeless youth in NYC to unpack the legacy of Stonewall for queer people of color. He is the executive producer/co-creator of Viceland’s GLAAD Media Award–nominated series My House, and is a Tribeca All Access fellow and a Film Independent Fast Track fellow.
Jovan James holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and an MFA from NYU. His first film,The Jump Off, had its film festival debut at Urbanworld Film Festival and played 23 festivals. His next short, Tadpole, won best student film at New Hampshire Film Festival 2018.
