Donate Now to Support the Work of Women in Film

The stories of women filmmakers create the narrative of their generations, shape our cultural landscape, and leave a path for future generations of filmmakers to forge even deeper. Their films inform our perspectives of the world and have the power to create meaningful change. Because of this power, representation in storytelling is paramount and the Sundance Institute continues to cultivate and spotlight women storytellers to further this momentum and progress.

Throughout our history, the Sundance Institute has supported and amplified the voices of women. Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Love & Basketball, Radha Blank’s The 40-Year-Old Version, and Dee Rees’ Pariah were all incubated through Sundance’s world-renowned summer labs. Chloé Zhao’s The Rider, Lulu Wang’s The Farewell, and Sian Heder’s CODA screened at our annual Festival. We continue to provide year-round, dynamic support to stories and artists just like these through workshops, grants, and fellowships.

As a not-for-profit Institute, we’re able to support the work of these artists because you support ours. Every single donation — whether $5, $50, or $500 — helps us to provide the critical resources needed for us to invest in the careers of women and bring their stories to life. Donate to the Sundance Institute now to support this work.
