"You Were Never Really Here"

From Joshua Marston to Brad Anderson to Andrew Dosunmu, April hosts a slate of films from Sundance mainstays. Where Is Kyra? marked Dosunmu’s third Sundance Film Festival premiere and presents a stirring performance from Michelle Pfeiffer as a woman taking desperate strides to keep her head above water as she spirals toward destitution following the loss of her mother. Teaming once again with DP Bradford Young, Dosunmu paints a delicate portrait of a woman in crisis that doubles as an examination of loss – and our proximity to despair – in all its unexpected forms.
