Engaging Community Audiences through Independent Film, Music, and Theatre.

Sundance Institute hosts community programs both year-round and at the annual Sundance Film Festival to offer local audiences the chance to experience independent film, theatre, and music through free screenings and discussions. .

Summer Screening Series

During the summer, we host an outdoor screening series at Red Butte Garden in Salt Lake City and Canyons Resort in Park City. Grab a blanket, bring your friends, and enjoy Film Festival favorites under the stars. View the 2013 Line-up

Sundance Film Festival Locals Screenings

During the Film Festival, Sundance Institute hosts special screenings for Utah residents. From our  High School Screening Series and Townie Tuesday to the beloved Best of Fest screenings, we are proud to offer opportunities for locals to experience the Festival.

    Sundance Institute wants #SundanceLocals to program the fourth film of our Summer Series. Voting will begin on July 1, 2013. Vote online or at Summer Series screenings.
