Publicists Credentials - Access to Press and Industry theatres on a space available basis, must pay for waitlist tickets at public theatres.
Daily Special Board
The Press Office features a board listing Special Events of the day and indicating ticket availability to films, panels, and other events. If you are unable to come into the Press Office, follow us on twitter: @SFFPress
Festival DVD Library
The DVD library houses four screening stations and is located in the Press Office. DVD copies of select Festival films are available for screening on a first-come, first-served basis to accredited Press and Industry members. DVD screeners are provided by the filmmakers, so please note that not every Festival title is available. As a courtesy to our filmmakers, DVDs may not be removed from the Press Office. Only one person can be in a screening station at a time and headphones must be worn.
Film Footage
Available press clips and trailers from Festival films can be obtained from the Press Office Materials Desk. Clips available electronically are made available on www.image.net.
Interview Requests
The Press Office is here to coordinate interviews with Festival programmers, Institute staff, operations personnel, and other officials, as well as with filmmakers, New Frontier artists, musicians, talent, and crew. We will do our best to accommodate all requests, recognizing it is not always possible to do so. In order to meet press deadlines, advanced notice is always appreciated.
The deck at Festival Headquarters and upper patio at the Sundance House are available to accredited film crews for reporter stand ups on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a number of other locations available. See the Press Office for more information.

Press and Industry (P&I) Screenings
Journalists, sales agents, publicists, and buyers play essential roles at the Festival. The purpose of P&I screenings is to grant as much visibility as possible for Festival films while allowing for the hectic schedule of these core constituents. It is the goal of the Festival to allow screening room access to both our colleagues in the film industry and accredited journalists while ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all patrons. Anyone who performs in an unprofessional way or violates the ground rules of access will risk a withdrawal of their accreditation.
Most Press and Industry Screenings are held at Holiday Village Cinemas, 1776 Park Avenue. Credentials must be presented for admittance. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. As a service to our filmmakers, we monitor the attendance at Press and Industry screening rooms as well as at the DVD screening stations located in the Press Office. If a Festival Volunteer or staff member stops to ask your name or see your badge please do not be insulted; this person is only doing his or her job. Industry members should contact the SIO for lists of industry representatives and journalists who have seen films at these locations. Film publicists should contact the Press Office for the same.
Press Lines at Theatres (aka "Red Carpets")
Press lines for most screenings open 90 minutes before the scheduled start time. Press will not be permitted to wait inside venues if they arrive more than two hours before the screening. The Press Office does not accept RSVPs for press lines but encourages press to speak with the film publicist. Please note: press lines for films in the Premiere category are overseen by the films' publicists in conjunction with the Festival Press Office. It is ultimately the decision of that publicist as to the order and number of press outlets on the line. Any member of the press who behaves in a manner deemed unsuitable (inappropriate questions, arguing over camera positions, etc.) risks having his or her Press Credential revoked. All crews and cameras must be authorized to be in Sundance Film Festival venues. Please see our Festival credential page for more information.
Radio Studios and ISDN
The local NPR station, KPCW, has studio time/ISDN line available for rental at $250 per hour (one hour minimum; engineering costs are included in this fee). Studio time, beginning daily at 10:00 a.m. (MST), is based on availability with 24-hour notice for scheduling required. To schedule, please contact Suzy Hanney at (435) 649-9004, ext. 307. KPCW's new studios are located at 460 Swede Alley, directly behind the Egyptian Theatre. Parking is extremely limited.

Waitlist Tickets
A photo press credential gives access to complimentary waitlist tickets. The waitlist has become a Sundance Film Festival tradition and each year hundreds of Festivalgoers see popular films without advance tickets. There's no need to go to the Main Box Office--just go directly to the theatre of the screening you wish to attend. Arrive two hours before the scheduled screening time to pick up your waitlist number (one per person). For each theatre's first screening of the day, waitlist numbers are distributed one hour before the scheduled screening time. Once you have your number, you can go grab a coffee or a sandwich, but you must return no later than 30 minutes before the screening time. Waitlist ticket sales begin no sooner than 30 minutes prior to the screening. You'll then line up according to number, and tickets are sold in sequential order. Waitlist tickets are $15. Only cash is accepted, so be sure to stop by the ATM before coming to the theatres. If no space is available, ticketed waitlist patrons receive a full refund. A waitlist number does not guarantee tickets are available for purchase.
