Welcome to the Independent Producers Conference Online Application.

The 2008 Independent Producers Conference will run July 31 – August 3 at Sundance Resort. Deadline for applications is May 30, 2008.

Who should Attend

We look for both first timers and seasoned producers looking for a new learning experience. This year, we are offering two tracks: Narrative and Documentary. While we will come together for several larger discussions and meals, the majority of the weekend will be split into smaller panels that will address issues specific to the two tracks. Although we are asking everyone to choose a track, you will still be able to go between sessions if you are interested in both.

By requiring participants to submit their project and biography, we hope to gather a cohesive group who represent the most engaging, motivated producers out there. We want to know that you’ve put some thought into your project, your challenges, and what it takes to be an independent producer in the market today. This process creates an environment for more interesting discussions and a more enlightening experience for all.

Registration fee per person: $950 (will not be charged until AFTER acceptance notification mid-June)

Lodging & Meals

A large part of the Conference experience is living and eating with fellow professionals. Lodging at the Sundance Resort ranges from deluxe 4-star Master Suites to privately owned authentic mountain cabins, shared with other conference participants, all located within walking distance from the base. Costs range from $600 - $1050 for the weekend. Alternative accommodations are also available in the nearby towns of Orem and Provo.

All meals are prepared by the award winning chef at Sundance Resort. Meals begin at dinner on Thursday, include full gourmet breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and end at Sunday Brunch.

Travel

The Sundance Village is approximately one hour from the Salt Lake International Airport. Round-trip transportation from the airport to the Conference is available through Express Shuttle - an airport van service.
