The Festival continues to expand its presence downtown with the addition of a 300-seat theatre at the Salt Lake City Public Library. The world-renowned building and cultural space joins the Beehive Tea Room (Salt Lake City Festival Café), Broadway Center Cinemas, Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, and Tower Theatre as Salt Lake City venues for the Festival.
The venue formerly known as the Racquet Club will return as a Festival theatre after being closed for 2011 to undergo significant remodeling. The venue is now known as the Park City Municipal Athletic Recreation Center (PCMARC) and will be referred to in all Festival materials as “The Marc.” The 550-seat theatre will once again be designed specifically for Festival use and will feature a new layout to allow for a larger screen and better load-in.
