Summer Film Series Returns to Utah

Summer Film Series Returns to Utah

Although mother nature seems to be taking her time here in Park City (Hello, it’s June! Enough with the rain already!), summer is just around the corner. We are busting out our picnic blankets and coolers and can’t wait to hit the local outdoor music scene. Great, right?! But what does that have to do with Sundance? It just so happens we are adding to the music line-up in Park City and Salt Lake City with our eclectic music (and art) film line-up. We know you missed us over the last four months since the Festival ended, so we are bringing the summer series to you, our local Sundance family, for an evening once or twice each month between June and August. The free screenings will take place in two unique outdoor settings, the Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre in Salt Lake and City Park in Park City.

We are featuring four Festival films that let us enter the world of a musician, showcase the importance of music in our lives, and reveal the creative process musicians go through to bring us the songs we know and love. In conjunction with the Kimball Arts Festival, we will also be showing a film featuring world-renowned street artist Banksy (make sure you check out his art work on Main Street while walking the Arts Fest).

Don’t miss out on another opportunity to experience Festival films outside of the Festival! Did I mention it’s FREE? We encourage you to show up at least 15 minutes before the film starts so you can stake out a place to picnic and watch the film. Don’t forget to bring a jacket, evenings in the mountains can get cool.

We’ll see you on the lawn!
