About Volunteer

Volunteer

Sundance Institute relies on the generosity and dedication of thousands of volunteers each year. We seek volunteers locally, nationally, and internationally, who share a commitment to supporting independent film and theatre. Volunteers are vital to all of the Institute's programs, including the Sundance Film Festival; the Labs of Feature Film, Theatre, Film Music, and Documentary Film Programs; and year-round in our Los Angeles, Park City, and New York City offices.

How To Volunteer with Sundance Institute

  • Pick a Program:
    • Film Festival: Recruits volunteers August-October for opportunities in January
    • Institute Labs: Recruits volunteers February-April for summer opportunities.
    • Other Opportunities: Volunteers are occasionally needed for community programs and support in our Park City, Los Angeles, and New York City offices
  • Learn More: Read more about the various ways to volunteer, and see if your skills and availability might be a fit for one of the Institute's programs.
  • Apply: Each program has a different, and separate, process for selecting the needed volunteers from interested candidates. Read more about the process on the following pages.
